Larry David Gattis

A Celebration of Life service for Larry David Gattis, 62 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow at Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors. Bro. Warren Jones will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, November 12, 2021 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 10:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Mr. Gattis passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at his residence. He was born July 1, 1959 in Detroit, MI to Shelton Gattis and Lessie DeFoor Gattis. He was a machine operator at Caterpillar and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Larry enjoyed metal detecting, fishing, and listening to music. He also enjoyed Civil War reenacting, going to the beach and playing the guitar. He served his country in the Navy with honor. His personality was big and his heart was bigger. He was always willing to go the extra mile for someone in need. Larry was very devoted to his mother, his family and loved ones. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Larry is survived by his son, Brandon Gattis; his daughter, Nicole Gattis (Hunter Brown); his soul mate, Paula Willis; 4 grandchildren, Lauren Enriquez, Jacob Enriquez, Alex Ferry and River Velek; his mother, Lessie DeFoor Foster; his step-daughters, Sylvia Enriquez (Rey) and Elise Ferry (Bill) and his brother, David Rickman (Sandy); other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Shelton Gattis. Pallbearers will be Brandon Gattis, Terry Null, Cody Sargent, Donavan Willis, Staphen Childers and Robin Harmon.
