Lowell Lee Hinton, Jr. was born on Monday, October 12, 1964, and departed this earth on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Lee was a loving husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. A native Mississippian, he lived his life on the third-generation family farm in Wenasoga. He was a farmer and an avid fisherman, who loved to spend his time at Pickwick with his family and at the Goat Island campground in Tishomingo with his wife, Ellen.

He is proceeded in death by grandparents, Brown and Ruby Hinton and Willie, Myrtle, and Marie Lee; his aunts, Eloise Talley (Quinton), Kathryn Mason (Harold), Ruth Marsh, and uncles Buddy Hinton (Sandra) and Wayne Hinton.

He leaves behind an incredibly heartbroken family. He is survived by his wife, Ellen; daughters, Leigh Ellen Hinton-Ridling (Taylor) and Lauren Leigh Hinton Farris (Mitch); parents, Lowell and Frances Hinton; brother Greg Hinton; nephew, Graham; niece, Gracie Cornelius (Dakota); sister-in law, Sara Goretski (Tony); niece, Anna Aanestad (Nate); nephew, Anthony III (Brandy); aunts, Gayle Hinton Coleman and Evelyn Lee; uncles, Clarence Hinton (Sara), JR Jones (Clara), and a host of cousins and friends.

Services will be held at Magnolia Funeral Home - South on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 2:00 pm with interment in Magnolia Gardens. Bro. Nathan VanHorn, Dr. Ronald Meeks and Bro. Warren Jones will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Magnolia Funeral Home – South.

Pallbearers are Steve Brady, Daniel Hinton, Gary Johnson, Rance Jones, Crage Mitchell, Patrick Hinton and Steve Thompson.
