A Graveside Celebration of Life for Libbie Marlar, 94, of Burnsville, MS is set for Friday, April 3, 2026 at 2pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Greg Woodruff. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Libbie was born June 22, 1931 in Corinth, MS, and she passed away on April 2, 2026 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. Libbie was a longtime member of Old Pleasant Hill Church and a devoted wife and homemaker who cherished her family above all else. She sang alongside her husband and family as part of the Singing Marlar Family, sharing her love of gospel music in churches across the country, and spreading joy through song. Her life was marked by a deep love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the center of her heart. Libbie is survived by her daughters, Patty Marlar and Lynn Marlar Parsons (Lyn); her grandchildren, Jeremy Crane, Anitra Prince (Mike), Christy Richardson (Kevin), Michel Witt (Matt), Candace Smith, and Felicia Roberts (Mike); 10 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Clifton B. Marlar; her daughter, Cynthia Gooch; her grandson, Matthew Harris; her parents, Thomas and Euel Fowler Parker; and several brothers and sisters.
