Linda Faye Austin

A Celebration of Life Service for Linda Faye Austin, 77 of Corinth, MS will be Friday, May 27, 2022 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow at Holly Cemetery.  Bro. Dan Roseberry will officiate the service with Brent Mills delivering the eulogy.  Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Friday, May 27, 2022 from 10:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East.  Mrs. Austin passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center.  She was born January 26, 1945 in Corinth, Ms to Henry Cummings and Mary Annie Downs Cummings.  Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother.  She actively served as piano player and participated in worship at Friendship Baptist Church for several years.  She loved working in her flower garden, played the piano, guitar, auto harp and loved to sing.  She enjoyed singing karoke with her brother Roy and will be remembered as the “funny” sister.  She always loved to make people laugh and was part of a big loving family.  Linda is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Courtney and husband David  and Kim Mills and husband Chad; 5 grandchildren, Christal Austin, Amanda Wood (Andrew), Chase Mills, Khloe Mills and Landon Courtney (Jenny); 3 great grandchildren; her brothers, Roy Cummings (Diane) and Benny Cummings; her sisters, Delores Bobo, Mary Prather, Shirley Smith, Martha Wooten (Vernon) and Joyce Brock (James); Brent Mills, who she loved like a son; special friend, Kenneth Jolly; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Austin; her father, Henry Cummings; her mother Annie Downs Cummings; her son-in-law, Ricky Dixon; her brothers, Terry Cummings and Jerry Cummings and her sister Eula Stutts.  Pallbearers will be Darwin Wooten, Chris Wooten, Eden Brock, Andrew Wood, Jeff Bobo and Randy Bobo.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Linda Faye Austin.
