Linda Childs

A Celebration of Life Service for Linda Childs, 71 of Corinth, MS, will be Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home – South Chapel with interment to follow at Magnolia Gardens.  Minister Gary Puryear will officiate the service.  Visitation will be Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 6:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 10:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – South.  Mrs. Childs passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Corinth, MS.   She was born June 14, 1951 in Booneville, MS to Daniel Koon and Jettie Mae Tollison Koon.  She was the office manager at Cartwright Ford for 40 years and a member of Danville Church of Christ.  She loved working in the yard, cooking, sewing and being a caregiver.  Linda is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bro. Jerry P. Childs; her daughters, Jennifer Markham and husband Joey and Kim Pharr and husband Jonathan; 5 grandchildren, Amber Malin (Riley), Samuel Markham, Ashley Markham, Tristan Pharr and Isaac Pharr; 4 great grandchildren, Kelly Malin, Kylee Malin, Austin Malin and Hailey Malin; her sister, Wanda Wilemon; her niece, Kay Wilemon;  other relatives and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Koon and Jettie Mae Koon and her brother-in-law, Euel Wilemon.  Pallbearers will be, Tommy Joe Turner, Joe Duncan, Josh Latch, Joe Garrett, Jimmy Cooper and Johnny Allen.  Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Linda Childs.
