A Celebration of Life Service for Linda Massengill Harris will be Monday, June 22, 2026 at 6:00 P M at Oakland Baptist Church. Bro. Raybon Richardson and Dr. Randy Bostick will officiate the service. Visitation will be Monday, June 22, 2026 from 4:00 P M until service time at Oakland Baptist Church. Interment will be in Magnolia Gardens.
Mrs. Harris passed to her heavenly home June 19, 2026 at her home in Biggersville. She was born on October 8, 1942, to Redius & Zera Roberts Massengill. She was a graduate of Corinth High School class of 1960. Linda met the love of her life Lealon Harris and they were married 48 years. Though she missed him, she made the most of life. She continued to manage their East Lawn & Magnolia apartments as long as it was safe to do so. Entertaining was one of her favorite things to do, whether a large Sunday lunch for family or making something to take to friends. She was always ready to go someplace if anyone was going. For many years, she followed her grand and great grands to their ball games, beauty reviews or any activity they were involved in. She was an active member of Oakland Baptist Church and friends group, The Goodtimes Girls.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura Wallace (Mike); her son, Lamar Harris (Angie); 5 granddaughters, Lauren (Derek) Swindle, Lydia Holloway, Abby (Shane) Serio, LeeAnn (Eric) Rinehart, Maggie (Aaron) Maxwell; 11 great grandchildren, Preston & Ella Swindle, Lealon Carper, Sarah Kate, Caroline & Everett Serio, Penelope, Whitlee, Natalee & Lynlee Rinehart and H. all of Corinth; brothers-in-law, Roy Harold Harris (Linda J.) of Cartersville, GA, and Ray Hearn (Mary) of Germantown; a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Redius & Zera Roberts Massangill; her husband, Lelon Harris; her sister, Judy Hearn; her great grandson, Witten Lee Rinehart and her parents-in-law, Guston & Velma Nash Harris.
