A private family service for Mackenzie Ross, 12 of Southaven, MS is set for Friday, February 12, 2021 at Magnolia Funeral Home East Chapel with interment in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Billy Powers will officiate the service. A public visitation will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home East Chapel. Born November 15, 2008 in Ripley, MS, Mackenzie passed from this life on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at her home in Southaven, MS. She loved her family and enjoyed anything to do with ballerinas, playing outside, going to the zoo, the children's museum and the park. She also loved her 2 dogs. "Let this serve as a reminder, How sweet heaven will be. Be thankful that this world is not our home. Mackenzie is resting in the arms of Jesus... She is playing, running and experiencing real life and enjoying it like she never has before." Mackenzie is survived by her biological father, Jason Ross of Pontotoc, MS; momma, Cindi Wren of Southaven, MS; dada, Randy Talley of Southaven, MS; brothers, Jordan Ross of Iuka and Lewis Ross of Corinth; aunt, Jessica Ross Powers and husband Joey of Corinth; maternal grandparents, Mike and Bonnie Frazier; paternal grandfather, Louie Ross of Nebraska; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her biological mother, Heather Mauldin; twin sister, Heather Ross; brother, John Preston Ross and her paternal grandmother, Jeanette Gray. Joey Powers, Landon Powers, Aron Richardson and Malachi Allgood will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations in Mackenzie's name to St. Jude Children's' Hospital or Lebonheur Children's Hospital.
