Marcia Rhodes

It is with both sorrow and deep gratitude that we announce the passing of Marcia Ann Brewster Rhodes, a devoted Christian woman whose life was a reflection of God’s love, grace, and kindness. She went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2025. There will be no service.

Born on January 10, 1953, Marcia lived a life marked by unwavering faith and a heart that welcomed everyone she met. To many, she was an angel on earth—someone who offered comfort without being asked, prayed without hesitation, and loved without condition. Her gentle spirit and servant’s heart touched countless lives, often in quiet, humble ways that only later revealed the depth of her impact.

She lived out her faith every day, not only in what she believed but in the way she loved others. Her church family at Gaines Chapel Global Methodist Church was especially dear to her. Whether she was serving, lending a helping hand, or offering a quiet prayer for someone in need, she showed Christ’s love in everything she did. Her presence there was a light—steady, humble, and full of grace.

Marcia also poured her heart into her work at State Farm for 41 years, where she was known for her kindness, steady presence, and the way she made everyone feel seen and valued. She approached each day with compassion and purpose, touching lives through lovingly offering a mother’s patience, a mentor’s wisdom, and a friend’s loyalty. “Her boys at the office” brought her immense joy, and she touched their lives in ways they will never forget. Her influence in the office will be remembered with deep gratitude.

Above all, Marcia cherished her family. Her greatest joy came from being a devoted mom and grandmom, and she poured her love into them in countless ways. She was the one who always remembered every birthday, celebrated every milestone, and showed up with unwavering support during life’s hardest moments. She led her family with quiet strength, endless patience, and a faith that carried them all. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but the lessons she taught, the example she set, and the love she gave will continue to shape her family for generations to come.

Marcia is preceded in death by Parents- Shirley and Marcus Brewster; Brother- Marcus Brewster Jr.; Grandchildren- Megan Rhodes and James Michael Rhodes III and is survived by Children- Jim Rhodes, Jesse(Ashlea) Rhodes and Joey Rhodes; Grandchildren- Molly(Luke) Spencer, Presleigh Rhodes, Gracie Rhodes, Lucy Rhodes, Slater(Lindsey) Huggins; Great Grandchildren- Kyrstin Troxell, Kimberly Troxell, Gannon Huggins, Lyla Huggins, JD Huggins, and Linton Rhodes, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing she now rests in the arms of her Savior, and that her life continues to shine through all those she inspired.

In Lieu of Flowers the family requests donation be made to Gaines Chapel Global Methodist Church, 1803 Hwy 72, Corinth, MS 38834.
