Martha "Harp" Jones

A Celebration of Life Service for Martha “Harp” Jones, 85 of Corinth, MS, will be Monday, February 12, 2024 at 11:00 A M at Tate Baptist Church with interment to follow in Henry Cemetery.  Bro. Mickey Trammel will officiate the service with Drew Mitchell delivering the eulogy.  Visitation will be Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 6:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Monday February 12, 2024 from 10:00 A M until service time at Tate Baptist Church.  MS Jones passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024 at North MS Medical Center – Hospice in Tupelo, MS.  She was born March 17, 1938 in Alcorn County, MS to Roy Baxter Jones and Ruby Sweat Jones.   She was a cosmetologist and a member of Tate Baptist Church.  She was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class and ABC’s at Tate Baptist.   She loved cooking, family gatherings, traveling and singing in the choir.  Martha is survived by her sisters, Bobbie Franks and Carolyn Walker; her sister-in-law, Jean Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Baxter Jones; her mother, Ruby Sweat Jones; her brother, Hoyle Jones; her brothers-in-law, Jerry Walker and Hershel Franks and her nephew, Brent Walker.  Pallbearers will be Kenny Franks, Greg Walker, Drew Mitchell, Jake Mitchell, Nick Briggs and Hunter Lafever.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Martha “Harp” Jones.
