Martha Jo Talley

A Celebration of Life service for Martha Jo Talley, 69 of Walnut is set for 11am on Monday, July 28, 2025 at Magnolia Funeral Home- EAST Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 5pm-8pm and Monday, July 28, 2025 from 10am-11am at Magnolia Funeral Home- EAST Chapel. Born on June 16, 1956 in Waukegan, IL., Mrs. Talley passed from this life on July 24, 2025 in Jackson, MS. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. Martha loved her family and spending time with them brought her great joy especially time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, being outdoors and taking care of her dog. She was also an avid reader.  Martha is survived by her son, Jonathan Talley (Jennifer); daughter, Cindy Bullard  (Eric); 4 grandchildren, Paden Talley, Andy Whittemore, Evan Bullard and Lillian Bullard; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James F. Talley; her father, Howard Cheney; mother, Betty Cheney; 2 brothers, George Cheney and Tommy Cheney and her sister, Gail Brummett.
