Mary Brenda Bragg

A Celebration of Life service for Mary Brenda Bragg, 83 of Corinth, MS will be Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church with interment to follow at Wheeler Grove Cemetery. Bro. Kara Blackard, Bro. Josh Westmoreland and Bro. Ray Bennett will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 12:00 noon until service time at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Bragg passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at her residence. She was born February 2, 1938 in Corinth, MS to A.J. Benjamin and Bertha Burns Benjamin. She was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church, where she was the pianist for over 60 years and was a teacher’s aide in the Alcorn County School System for 29 1/2 years. She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, going to yard sales and playing the piano. She loved car rides on Sunday and spending time with her family, especially her grands and her great grands. Brenda is survived by her son, Kevin Bragg and wife Jamey of Rienzi, MS; her daughter, Sylvia Thomas and husband Jackie of Baldwyn, MS; 4 grandchildren, Julie Clark (Cary), Jayla Bullard (Brad), Samuel Bragg (Caty) and Seth Bragg (Kayce); 7 great-grandchildren, Jacie Stowers, Destiny Bullard, Asher Bullard, Case Clark, Jaxx Clark, Haze Clark and Steele Bragg; her sisters, Judy Wilhite, of Kossuth, MS and Patricia “Tootsie” Parks of Kossuth, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Braxton Eugene Bragg; her father, A.J. Benjamin; her mother, Bertha Burns Benjamin; her brother, Jim Benjamin and her sister, Nelda Faye Dalton. Pallbearers will be Gerald Parks, Lee Bo Wilhite, Brett Benjamin, Scott Benjamin, Eric Bragg, Daryl Bragg, Brad Bragg, Bruce Bragg, Terry Dalton, Clint Wilhite, Daniel Gaylean and Barry Bragg. Honorary pallbearers will be Bro. Steve Byrd and Wheeler Grove Baptist Church Choir.
