Mary Eunice Morelock, a beloved family matriarch, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025, at the age of 88. Services are set for Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 11 am at Magnolia Funeral Home - South Chapel located at 741 HWY 45 South with burial at Hinkle Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 5pm-8pm and Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 10am-11am at Magnolia Funeral Home - South Chapel. Rev. Mike Brown, Stan Morelock and Ethan Estes will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Eddie Rickman, Tommy Gann, Steve Morelock, Greg Morelock, Darron Morelock, Dewayne Killough and Bryan Robbins.  Honorary pallbearers will  be anyone that was a member of her past Sunday School Classes. 

Born on April 12, 1937, Eunice dedicated a significant portion of her life to her career, retiring from ITT after 34 years of exemplary service. Her passion for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She married Howard Morelock at the age of 16 and he was 20 and they were married 66 years when he passed away in 2019.  She cherished the moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating bonds that will endure beyond her years. Those who were fortunate enough to know her will remember her infectious laughter and love for singing, which brought joy and warmth to every gathering.

Beyond her family life, Eunice found fulfillment in various hobbies and interests that showcased her nurturing spirit. She was an avid gardener, filling her home with vibrant flowers and plants that reflected her love for nature. Cooking and baking were also special ways for Eunice to express her love, as she delighted in preparing meals for her family, often having a desert on the table every day. Her talent extended to quilting, where she crafted beautiful pieces that were both functional and artistic, gifts that her family will treasure.

Eunice's commitment to her community was evident through her role as a Sunday School teacher, a dedication she upheld for over 30 years. Her teaching left a lasting impact on the lives of many children, instilling values and lessons that would resonate throughout their lives.

Throughout her life, Eunice created countless memories during family vacations, particularly to her favorite destination in the Ozark Mountains, Arkansas. These trips were filled with laughter, adventure, and the profound love that characterizes her family. Eunice Morelock will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to family will continue to inspire those left behind as they carry forward the values and memories she instilled in their hearts.

Those left behind to cherish Eunice's memory include her son, Jeff Morelock (Annette); daughter, Rene' Estes (John); grandchildren, Stan Morelock (Amber), Kayla Mercer (Scott), Ethan Estes (Barbie) and Callie Estes; great Grandchildren, Lilly Morelock, Molly Morelock, Henry Mercer, Ruby James Mercer, Ezar Estes, Zoe Estes and Noah Estes ;brothers, J. C. Killough (Janell) and Danny Killough; sisters, Nelda Robbins and Brenda Sawyer; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Howard Morelock; father, Clarence Burdine Killough; mother, Maggie Bell Davis Killough; brothers, Alfred Killough, Thomas Killough (Maxine) and Johnny Killough (Betty) and her brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy Robbins, Jerry Sawyer and Joyce Killough. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Mary Eunice Morelock.
