Funeral services for Mary Jewel Wilbanks,87, of Corinth, MS will be at 2pm on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Magnolia Funeral Home - East with interment in Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 28, 2026 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - East. Bro. James Roy Bennett will officiate the service with Tammy Juntunen offering reflections. Born December 19, 1938 in Corinth, MS., Mrs. Wilbanks passed from this life on August 25, 2026 in Belden, MS. She was a retired machine operator for Chrysler/FCA. She was attended Michie Church of God of Prophecy. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found great joy in playing the guitar and singing gospel music. She also enjoyed working word-search puzzles, walking in the park, fishing, making quilts, and tending to her beautiful flower garden. Above all, she dedicated a large part of her life to caring for her family and friends. To her, caring for others was never a job or a responsibility—it was an act of love. She gave freely of her time, her heart, and her kindness, always making those around her feel loved and cared for. Mary was survived by her son, Farin Wade Wilbanks (Teresa); 3 grandchildren, Amanda Little (Travis), Jacob Wilbanks (Alysa) and Josh Wilbanks (Mandie); 9 great grandchildren, Holden Little, Tripp Little, Josie Little, Elsie Wilbanks, Nate Wilbanks, Autry Wilbanks, Jessie Wilbanks, Edi Ruth Wilbanks and Andi Wilbanks; daughter-in-law, Judy Wilbanks; brother, Jimmy Jones (Diane); sisters, Doris Haynie and Effie Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Gene Wilbanks; son, Ricky Lane Wilbanks; great granddaughter, Lucy Gene Wilbanks; her parents, J.D. Jones and Madie Jones; and her brothers, Garlon Jones, Billy Wayne Jones, Aaron Jones and J.R. Jones. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Mary Jewel Wilbanks.
