Matthew Blake Mitchell, 30, of Corinth, MS passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022. He was born on January 30, 1992 to James “Ernie” and Sherry Kirk Mitchell and graduated from Kossuth High School. Blake loved Friday night date nights and riding the backroads with the love of his life Angie. He loved his 3 wonderful boys and was always bringing them surprises. They loved their daddy and enjoyed spending time flying drones and fishing with him. Blake never ever met a stranger, he could carry on a conversation with anyone about anything, even a brick wall. Blake had a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He loved to grill for his friends and family. Blake was a drywall finisher from the time he graduated from high school. He often said he loved learning the trade and he planned to make a career of it. He enjoyed his work as an employee of Triple T. Blake was a member of Pleasant Hill United Pentecostal Church and will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved. Visitation is scheduled from 11 am till service time Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Pleasant Hill United Pentecostal Church with service to follow at 2 PM officiated by Rev. Tony Kirk, Rev. Dewayne Kirk, and Rev. Russell Lormand. Pallbearers include Darrell Hill, Wesley Morelock, Brent Winslow, Matthew Newcomb, Greg Roach, and Tyler Oathout. Interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery in Rienzi. Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Blake’s memory include his wife, Angie Mitchell; his sons, Alex Mitchell, Bentley Mitchell, and Caden Mitchell; his parents, James “Ernie” and Sherry Kirk Mitchell; his brother, Justin Mitchell and fiancé Kylie Thigpen; his sister, Angela Mitchell Epley and husband Jeremy; his nieces and nephews, Shelby Epley, Clara Newcomb, and Carter Enlow; his brothers-in-law, Matthew Newcomb (Kayla), and Greg Roach II; his sister-in-law, Kristan Enlow; his parents-in-law, Greg and Tammy Roach; his maternal grandparents, Rev. Dewayne and Linda Bryant Kirk; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James “Crip” and Bernice Mitchell.
