A Celebration of Life Service for Mike Timbes, 72 of Corinth, MS will be held at 2 PM Thursday, August 13, 2026, at West Corinth Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 11:00 until service time. Bro. Andy Reeves and Bro. Seth Kirkland will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Magnolia Gardens. Pallbearers include Randy Stutts, Joe Caldwell, Kenny Slack, Rick Quinn, Bill Floyd, Ronnie Thompson, Bill Lowe, and Terry Gramling. Honorary pallbearers include the Pit Stop Breakfast Crew. Mike was born on July 14, 1954, in Booneville, MS and passed away on August 9, 2026, at Sanctuary Hospice House.

Mike was an outdoorsman through and through. He loved to hunt and fish, and he enjoyed both. There was just something about being in the woods or out on the water that suited him. Many good memories were made with a fishing pole or a hunting rifle in his hand, sitting around talking with family and friends or enjoying the quiet solitude alone.

For more than four decades, he was also a familiar and trusted face in the insurance business. He began his career in 1984 and represented several insurance companies during his years as an agent. He built his business the old-fashioned way—by knowing people, keeping his word, working hard, and treating folks right. Over the years, he didn't just gain customers; he gained friends.

He was a hardworking man who took pride in what he did, a faithful man who believed in serving his church (West Corinth Baptist Church), and a family man who loved his people dearly. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—a day in the woods, a day on the water, a good conversation, and most of all, time with his family.

Mike was a good man, a good friend, a faithful servant, and a family man who loved his people with all his heart. And around here, that's the kind of life worth remembering.

Those left to honor Mike’s memory include his wife of 48 years, Jamie Dixon Timbes; his daughter, Christy Jordan (Todd); his grandchildren, London Jordan, Harley Kate Jordan, and Jax Jordan; his mother, Shirley Timbes; his sister, Pam Essary (Kenneth); his sister-in-law, Patricia Lancaster; his uncles, Dean Timbes (Dot) and Ronnie Timbes (Patti); his aunt, Sheila Sutton (Rick); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Timbes; his father, Morris Timbes; his sister, Kathryn Timbes; his brother-in-law, Jimmy Lancaster; and his grandparents, Willie & Mamie Timbes and Homer and Zellar Johnson.
