Mildred K. Pope, 91, of Corinth, MS passed away at her residence on Friday, October 1, 2021. She was born in Alcorn County, MS on March 3, 1930 to the late Price and Jennie Mae Nave Bobo. Mildred retired as a Supervisor with Abbott Laboratory in Chicago, IL after 30 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed fishing, racing, her yearly trips to Montana, her flowers and gardening but her greatest joy was her family. Mildred will forever be remembered in the hearts of those she loved. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Monday, October 4, 2021 at Magnolia Funeral Home - East. A Celebration of Mildred’s life will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Magnolia Funeral Home - East Chapel officiated by Bro. Floyd Lamb. Interment will follow in Corinth National Cemetery. Those left to honor Mildred’s memory include her brother, Villy Bobo and wife Shirley of Winthrop Harbor, IL; her great niece, Ashley Gurley (Gregory) of Corinth; several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred Killough; her second husband, Clyde E. Pope; her brothers, A.D. Bobo, R.C.
