A Celebration of Life for Neil McNair, 75, of Memphis, TN is set for Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home- East Chapel with Military Honors. Visitation will be Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Born November 30, 1950 in Memphis, TN., Mr. McNair passed away on March 18, 2026, at his home in Memphis, TN. Neil proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was an Army Staff Sergeant with the 557th U.S. Artillery Group/59th Ordinance Brigade from 1974 to 1977 and received multiple commendation medals. Neil was a devoted Arkansas Razorbacks fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and watching football. Neil had a gift for storytelling and loved making people laugh. For 20 years, he led a BBQ Fest competition team and could often be found manning a grill. Neil was survived by his son, Neil McNair; daughters, Chaunda Michael (Matt) and Brooke Crawford (Rick); 6 grandchildren, Londyn Wirick (Chase), Ella Claire Lampkins, Channing Michael; Ivy Crawford, Daniel Jones and Madison Jones; brothers, Ronnie Hathcock (Bonnie), David McNair, Wtlie McNair (Debra), Curtis McNair, Alan Woods, Gary Pearson, Randy Pearson and Millard Pearson; sisters, Audrey Parrish and Caroline Pearson; numerous nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Neil McNair; mother, Annie McNair and his sister, Barbara Fugitt. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Neil McNair.
