O'Neil Dickerson

O'Neil Dickerson, a well known member of the Counce community, has passed away at the age of 79. He was born on September 20, 1943, in Counce, TN, and passed away on July 12, 2023. 

Neil dedicated his life to serving others through his work as a marina operator for an impressive 40 years at Pickwick Landing State Park. With his extensive knowledge and passion for boating, hunting and golfing, he made sure that everyone who visited the marina had a safe and enjoyable experience. His dedication to his profession earned him the respect and admiration of both colleagues and his community.

Neil is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pat Dickerson.  Neil will also be missed by his son, Bryan Dickerson (Cindy); his grandchildren, Tyler and Bailey; and great-grandchildren, Maxton, Oaks, and Mavery. In addition to immediate family members, Neil also leaves behind his sister, Judy Turpin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Rachel Broadway Dickerson; his brother, Jim Dickerson; and his sisters, Sue Headrick and Bonnie Russell.

A private graveside service will be held to honor and remember O'Neil Dickerson.
