Otis Jerrell Briggs, 86, of Columbus, MS, formerly of Corinth, MS, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026 at his residence. The visitation will be Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - East Chapel. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Magnolia Funeral Home- East Chapel. Otis is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Briggs; his daughter, Lyn Briggs; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sons, Otis Jerrell Briggs, Jr. and Jeffrey Lane Briggs; his daughter, Bonnie Christine Briggs; his brother, Frankie Briggs; his sister, Juanita Scott.
