It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Bright, lovingly known as “Mamaw,” who passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026.

Born in Corinth Mississippi, on April 29th, 1955 Patricia was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl (Dot) Vanderford, beloved husband, Billy Bright, and her son, Brent Flanagan.

Patricia had a heart full of love and compassion. She cared deeply for her family and was always there with a listening ear, a loving heart, and a place at her table. To those who knew her, she was so much more than a mother or grandmother—she was a source of comfort, strength, laughter, and unconditional love.

Mamaw found joy in the simple things in life, especially fishing and rock hunting. She loved being outdoors and making memories with the people she loved. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her family.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Charles) Reddell, Richard (Deanna) Bright, Allen Bright (Jess Lambert), Kevin Flanagan, and Brenda Ray (Billy).

She leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her grandchildren: Emerie Rose Bright; Paizlee Ann Reddell (Mathew Coleman); Allie Stokes; Megan (Bryan) Nevis; Jordan (Mary Grace) Flanagan; Suzanne Ingle (Brandon); Samantha Jones (Daniel); Colton Bright (Molly); Dillon Bright (Darian); Scott Ray; and BJ Ray (Savannah).

Her love will continue through her great-grandchildren, Hayden Byrd, Taylor Nevis, Katie Bright, Braden Jones, Dalton Ray (Lily), and Izzy Ray, and her great-great-grandson, Oakland Ray.

Patricia also held a special place in her heart for her honorary daughter, Ashley Blankenship, and her honorary grandchildren Ashtynn, Ashlynn, and Abel Blankenship. She treasured her friendship with Christy Faulkner and the special relationship she shared with Christy’s daughter, Ashley Wilbanks (Larry). She also held a very special place in her heart for her honorary grandbaby Averlee, who lovingly called her “Patty Poo.”

She is also survived by her brother, Tommy (Marilyn) Vanderford.

Patricia was blessed with friendships that became family, including her beloved best friend, affectionately known as “Pickle,” who preceded her in death.

Although our hearts are broken by her passing, Patricia’s love will never leave us. Her memory will live on in every story told, every laugh remembered, every fishing trip, every rock discovered, and in the countless lives she touched.

Her family will forever cherish the love she gave so freely and the memories she left behind. She may be gone from our sight, but the love of Mamaw will remain in their hearts forever.

Moma, you were loved beyond measure and will be missed beyond words.

Rest peacefully, Moma. Until we meet again. ❤️
