Patricia Newcomb - Celebration of Life
A Celebration of Life for Patricia Newcomb, 77, of Corinth, MS is set for Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 2pm at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Kara Blackard, Bro. Ray Bennett, Bro. Josh Westmoreland, and Bro. Cory Holley. Visitation will be Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 11am-2pm at the church. Interment will be in Magnolia Gardens. The deacons of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Patricia was born January 7, 1949 in Corinth, MS, and she passed away at her home on March 24, 2026. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—working crossword puzzles, gathering with friends for Bunko, and expressing her creativity through painting. A gifted baker, she loved sharing her homemade treats with the people she cared for most. Music was one of her happiest comforts, especially the songs of Taylor Swift . She also delighted in time spent swimming and relaxing in the water. Above all, her heart belonged to her grandchildren. Time spent playing with them, laughing with them, and making memories with them was among her greatest blessings. A proud graduate of Kossuth High School, Class of 1967, she remained deeply connected to her community throughout her life. She was a faithful member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church and also gave of her time in service to others as an MRHC Auxiliary “Pink Lady.” She dedicated many years of service as a Justice Court Clerk before her retirement. Patricia is survived by her husband of 56 years, Billy Newcomb; her son, Billy Shane Newcomb (Karla); her daughter, Tina Louise Newcomb; her grandchildren, Katherine Newcomb and Briley Newcomb; her sister, Wanda Sue Brock; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Paul Newcomb; her parents, JC and Mary Switcher; and her brother, Tommy Switcher. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Patricia Newcomb.
