Patsy Russell Norcross

Patsy Russell Norcross, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, and friend, passed away on September 10, 2025, entering heaven into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Pat was born and raised in Marshall, Virginia, to the late Dorsey and Mae Rose Russell. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred Russell and Dorsey (Russ) Russell. She is survived by her sister-in-law Doris Russell and her brother-in-law Ron Norcross.

Pat’s greatest joy in life was her family. She is also survived by her four beloved children: Patty Norcross Godfrey (Sam), Cheryl Norcross Nelson (Wayne), Ernie Norcross (Toni), and Allison Norcross Walker (Jackson). She is survived by her eight cherished grandchildren: Whitney Wohlgemuth (Mike), Wayne Nelson IV (Kate Wells), Russell Godfrey (Brittany), Michelle Johnson (Brandon), Trey Norcross (Kacie), Emma Cook (Andrew), Mary Grace Walker and Sarah Walker. She is survived by her ten precious great-grandchildren: Ada, Molly, Ruthie, and Eloise Wohlgemuth; Mosley, Sadie, and Liam Norcross; Evelyn and Beckett Johnson; and Lottie Shepherd Nelson.

Pat has lived in Virginia, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina and Mississippi. She loved her farm near Walnut, Mississippi, and enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching her horses. She lived the past seven years at Dogwood Corinth Senior Living in Corinth, Mississippi.

Her life was defined by her faith in Jesus Christ, her devotion to family, and her love of her farm and animals. Pat will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, her strength, her cheerful attitude, her hospitality, and her steadfast love.

We will have a Celebration of Life service for family and friends at a later date. We would like to give a special thanks to the awesome staff at Dogwood for loving and caring for our mom. We are so grateful and appreciative of y’all!
