Peggy Wilbanks

Funeral services for Peggy Voyles Wilbanks, 79, of Corinth are set for Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST with interment in Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 12:30pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home- EAST. Father Josh Shipman will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Milton Sandy, Jerry Nixon, Tommy Irwin, Michael Voyles, Johnny Young, J. B. Darnell and Kevin Voyles. Born January 10, 1944 in Corinth to the late G. B. and Shirley Rast Voyles. Peggy grew up in Corinth in a house with 3 brothers, and attended Corinth High School , finishing in the Class of 1962. Peggy left Corinth moving to Jackson, MS to raise her family over the next 35 years. During her life she worked as a Real Estate agent, a fashion consultant, and in education. She enjoyed on her time off being in the outdoors, singing, dealing in antiques, and entertaining friends with dinner parties. Peggy returned to Corinth to live and enjoy her final years with family and friends. She was a member of the St. Paul Episcopal Church, with Father Josh Shipman. Peggy passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Cornerstone Health and Rehab from complications of pneumonia. Peggy is survived by her brother, Johnny B. Voyles; grandson, Joshua Johnson; great granddaughter, Sayd Johnson; nephews, Michael Voyles, Kevin Voyles and Jason Voyles; nieces, Jennifer Fountain and Caitlin Voyles; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, G. B. and Shirley Rast Voyles; daughter, Tena Wooldridge and son, Todd Wilbanks and brothers, Bobby Voyles and Scotty Voyles.
