Funeral services for Rebecca "Becky" Penney are set for 11am Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at New Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, September 28, 2026 from 5pm-10pm and Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from 10am -11am. Bro. Roger Browning and James Monroe will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Beau Crum, Eli Hankins, Austin Hankins, Daniel Crum, Ben Hankins and Brandon Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Ava Carter, Ivy Penney, Chloe Crum and Emma Hankins. Born November 24, 1954 in Zion, IL., Mrs. Penney passed from this life on September 24, 2026 at her home in Tishomingo. She was a retired school teacher for the Alcorn County School District.  She loved her family and cherished the time she got to spend with them especially her grandchildren. Becky loved anything to do with Christmas and teaching. She enjoyed watching The Waltons, gardening and canning. Becky is survived by her husband of 46 years, Terry Penney; sons, Terry Penney (Kelley) and David Penney (Marsha); daughter, Rhonda Crum (Daniel); 8 grandchildren, Ava Carter, Ivy Penney, Emma Hankins, Austin Hankins, Eli Hankins, Ben Hankins, Beau Crum and Chloe Crum; brother, Robert Isbell; honorary guest, Kylie Hughes, Buddy and Vaughnda Hall, Kazi Timbes, Marcus Johnson, Monica Moody and all her teaching co-workers; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Clovis Isbell and her mother, Geraldine Isbell. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Rebecca "Becky" Penney.
