Robert "Bob" Bruner

Robert “Bob” Bruner, 80, of Rienzi, MS, passed away at Mississippi Care Center on Thursday, March 30, 2023. Born in Fort Wayne, IN on August 13. 1942 to the late Walter and Hilda Whitte Bruner, Bob was a member of First Presbyterian Church and served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the National Guard.  He worked for several area businesses including Coca Cola, Long Wholesale and Plumrose, loved mowing his yard, collecting model trains and spending time with his family. Bob will forever be missed by those who loved him. Visitation is scheduled from 5 – 8 pm Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Magnolia Funeral Home - East. A celebration of Bob’s life will be at 11:30 am, Monday, April 3, 2023 at Magnolia Funeral Home - East. Bro. Warren Jones will officiate the service. Members of the National Guard will serve as pallbearers. Interment with military honors will follow at Corinth National Cemetery.  Magnolia Funeral Home - East is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Bob’s memory include his wife of 30 years, Janice Bruner; his children, Robert Louis Bruner Jr. (Cindy), Jeff Nash, Sharrisse Brock, Gladys Garland, Laura True (Arvin); his grandchildren, Jenna Johnson, Anna Hall, Chloe Hill, Breanna Nash, Olivia Nash, Brody Brock, Tiffney Davis, Darby Broadway, Gracie Harp, Katie Harp; 7 great grandchildren; his brothers, Jim Bruner (Sue), and Melvin Bruner; his sister, Dee Gaylord; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Bruner; his sister, Doris Ivy; and his son-in-law, Dale Brock.
