Sandi Benjamin

Funeral services for Sandra Beth Curlee Benjamin, 79 of Rienzi are set for Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 12pm at Rienzi Baptist Church with interment in Rienzi Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 24, 2024 from 10am until 12pm at Rienzi Baptist Church. Bro. Ralph Culp will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be David Bullard, Dylan Collins, Peyton Jackson, Bryce Bullard and Brennan Bullard.

Sandi was born June 10, 1946, to the late Edwin Joseph” Joe” and David Beth Carter Curlee. She passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 21, 2025 in Corinth, MS. A graduate of Rienzi High School, she went on to attend Mississippi University for Women before dedicating her life to helping others through education and speech therapy. For more that 30 years, she served as a speech pathologist with the Alcorn County School District. Her home schools were Biggersville and Rienzi Elementary, where she faithfully poured her heart into helping countless children find their voices and build confidence. Her patient guidance and deep compassion left a lasting mark on generations of students and colleagues.

She was a devoted member of Rienzi Baptist Church for over 70 years; She joyfully used her gifts in service to the Lord, playing the organ, teaching Sunday School and leading the Baptist Young Women and Women of Faith. Her life was a testimony of steadfast faith, servant leadership, and the love of God’s Word.

She is survived by her sons, Lee Benjamin (Donna) and Burton Benjamin (Carlena); daughters, Stacy Bullard (Brian) and Holley Jackson (Keith); eight beloved grandchildren, David Bullard, Dylan Collins, Peyton Jackson, Bryce Bullard, Paige Benjamin, Brennan Bullard, Lily Benjamin and Lola Benjamin; two precious great-grandchildren, Brinlee Collins and Emmery Collins; other relatives and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Beth Curlee and the father of her children, Irb Benjamin.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to MS Care Center, Gentiva Hospice Service, Magnolia Funeral Home, members of Rienzi Baptist Church, friends and family for their love and support.
