A memorial service for Scott Edward Hallcock, 54, Corinth, MS is set for Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - East. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home- East.
Scott Edward Hallcock was born on December 16, 1971, to father, Thomas K. Hallcock and mother, Beatryce A. Waelty (Heltemes) in Oakland, California. Scott passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
Scott lived in different parts of northern California most of his childhood then moved to Corinth, Mississippi in the late 1980’s with his mother and graduated from Corinth High School May 1990.
Scott moved to Elliott, Iowa in the late 1990’s and worked for Ameristar Casino security for over five years. Then Corinth was calling him home again, which he resided for a few years and then moved back to Iowa and became an EMT for the City of Red Oak and Corning.
Once again, Corinth was calling him home where he worked at the Social Security Office as security starting in 2013, he loved his job and the people he worked with.
Scott was a member of the Church of the Crossroads where he served as an Armor Barer for the pastors. Pastor, Jared Hight shared that Scott always brought his children’s favorite snacks for them.
Scott enjoyed hunting with his bow and arrow, fishing with Tony’ dad, playing video games and watching old movies like Indiana Jones and Star Wars and tv shows like Emergency, and Mash. He was an avid fan of the Nebraska Huskers for years then became a big fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Scott was preceded in death by his father Thomas; mother Beatryce; brother Thomas, and sister Shaun Marie.
Left to cherish Scott’s memory is his sister Kimberley of Elliott IA; half-brother Geoffrey of Laurens, IA ; his son Ethan of Phoenix, AZ; niece Cheryl and fiancé Ethan; great niece Avery; great nephew Lincoln of Anita IA; his best friend and adopted brother Tony Holmes and his family; his furry best friend, Trooper; lots of cousins and friends.
