Sherry Kaye Jones

Funeral services for Sherry Kaye Jones, 61, are set for Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home -EAST. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home - EAST. Bro. Mickey Trammel will officiate the service.  A private family burial will be in Henry Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grant Andrews, Andrew Jones, Jacob Sesma, Rodney Andrews, Kadan Cooper and Kason Cooper.

     Miss Jones died Saturday, November 26, 2022, at home. She was a member of Tate Baptist Church.

     She taught elementary education for 33 years with the Corinth Municipal School District. Miss Jones graduated from Corinth High School, Northeast Mississippi Community College, and Ole Miss. Being an ardent Ole Miss fan, she loved watching the Rebels play football. She also loved watching her niece and nephew play sports as well as her great nieces and nephews. She loved working with children and taught many young people in Corinth how to swim through her swimming lessons at Shiloh Ridge. Miss Jones loved spending quality time with her niece and nephew, great nieces, nephews, and being a help mate to her mother. She will always be remembered as a person who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was friendly to everyone and always had a smile on her face.

Survivors include her mother, Edith Gray Andrews Jones, nephew, Christopher Andrew Jones and his wife Lacie of Olive Branch, MS; niece, Brittany Jones Sesma and her husband Jacob of Corinth, MS; great nieces Dani Kate Sesma and Ramsey Jones; great nephews Decker Sesma and Ridge Jones; other relatives and a host of friends.

     Miss Jones was preceded in death by her father, James Buford Jones; her paternal grandparents Wilbur Marvin Jones and Hazel Marie Aldridge Jones; her maternal grandparents Lawrence Malcolm (Shorty) Andrews and Mattie Lillian Gray Andrews; and her brother James Christopher Jones. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of MS Sherry Kaye Jones.
