Shirley Faye Jones

Shirley Faye Jones, 78, of Walnut, MS, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. Born in Tippah County, MS on April 11, 1944 to the late Garvis and Velma Armstrong, she was a loving and caring wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  To know her was to love her. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 5 pm till service time at New Covenant Christian Assembly in Falkner with services to follow at 2 pm Wednesday, August 17, 2022.  Bro. Titus Mathis will officiate and interment will follow at County Line Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers. Magnolia Funeral Home – East is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Shirley’s memory include her husband of 51 years, Presley Jones; her children, Bill Crum, Gene Crum (Lacy), Gary Watson (Lois), Martin Watson (Lavonda), Marie Brooks (Ricky), Tina Kimble (Dwayne), and Scottie Jones (Brenda).  She was grandmother to 20 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 31 great-grandchildren and loved by other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Jones; and her brothers, Cloy Armstrong (Shirley) and Hayden Armstrong.
