A Celebration of Life Service for Shirley Ann Templeton, 84 of Corinth, MS, will be Monday, September 12, 2022 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow at Dogwood Cemetery. Dr. Randy Bostick will officiate the service. Visitation will be Monday, September 12, 2022 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Mrs. Templeton passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 at North MS Medical Center in Iuka, MS. She was born May 15, 1938 in Guys, TN to Oather Elam and Lillie Eaker Elam. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Oakland Baptist Church. She retired as nurse at Magnolia Regional Health Center after 30 years of service. She loved working in her flower garden, making quilt tops, cross stitching and vacationing with her husband on motorcycle. They traveled all over the US, except Alaska and Hawaii and even traveled parts of Canada. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, great grandkids and adored her son and his wife. Shirley is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tommy Templeton of Corinth, MS; her son, Stanley Templeton and wife Teresa of Corinth, Ms; 2 granddaughters, Valleri Merrill (Jason) and Tori Campbell (Colin); 4 great grandchildren, Adelai Merrill, Henrick Merrill, Brendon Campbell and Finnick Campbell; her brother, Billy Elam (Dorothy); other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father Oather Elam; her mother, Lillie Eaker Elam; her brother, James Elam and her sister, Sadie Elam. Pallbearers will be Kenny Marlar, Ricky Harvill, Dwight Wilson, Franklin Creekmore and Colin Campbell. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Shirley Ann Templeton.
