Stanley Wayne Bumpas

Wayne Bumpas, 80 of Corinth, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Magnolia Regional Health Center after a brief illness. Born November 9, 1938 in Alcorn County, MS., Wayne was of the Baptist faith and a charter member of Oakland Baptist Church. He was the co-owner of Magnolia Hosiery Mill for over 50 years. Wayne was past president of Hillandale Country Club and on the Board of Directors for 20 years. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. Wayne is survived by his wife of 58 years and his high school sweetheart: Ginna Bumpas of Corinth; son, Stan Bumpas of Corinth; grandchildren, Caleb Bumpas , Ginna Kate Bumpas and Bella Grace Bumpas: great grandson, Luke Bumpas; daughter-in-law, Kristy Hale Bumpas of Corinth ; brothers, Bobby Bumpas and wife Johnnie of Kossuth, Jimmy Bumpas of Corinth and Dennis Bumpas and wife Kathy of Corinth; sister, Dimple Yarber of Corinth; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends . He is preceded in death by his son, Anthony Bumpas; father, Troy Bumpas and his mother, Ruby Lancaster Bumpas. in lien of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Oakland Baptist Church 20/20 Building Fund, 1101 South Harper Road, Corinth, MS 38834.
