Funeral services for Tim Rorie, 68 of Corinth are set for Friday, May 1, 2026 at 11 am at Strickland Church of Christ with interment in Clear Creek Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 5pm-8pm and Friday, May 1, 2026 from 10am-11am at Strickland Church of Christ. Minister Terry Smith will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Ethan Rorie, Stone Rorie, Branson Rorie, Drake Rorie, Josh Lovelace, Joe Harris, Carl Roberts, J. D. Davis, Jeff Williams and C. K. Kennedy.
Timmy "Tim" Lee Rorie, a used car salesman known for his passion for automobiles and deep commitment to his community, passed away on April 25, 2025, in Michie, Tennessee. Born on November 9, 1957, in Corinth, Mississippi, Tim led a life marked by dedication, resilience, and an enduring love for his family, friends, and interests.
Tim's affinity for cars was evident throughout his life. He loved building Hotrods, attending car shows, and immersing himself in all things automotive, including motorcycles. His enthusiasm extended beyond his profession, as he found joy not only in selling vehicles but in sharing his knowledge and passion with others who appreciated the craftsmanship and culture surrounding automobiles. He also valued spending quality time with his loved ones and cherished moments with his faithful dog, Axel.
Among Tim’s proudest accomplishments was his role as the chairman of the Selmer AA, a testament to his leadership and dedication to helping others. Demonstrating remarkable strength and resolve, Tim maintained 33 1/2 years of sobriety, embodying the principles of perseverance and community support.
Tim is survived by his wife of 14 years, Teresa Rorie; sons, Brandon Rorie (Amy) and Dillon Rorie(Kelsey); 6 grandchildren, Ethan Rorie (Sara), Stone Rorie (Weedoie), Brandson Rorie, Drake Rorie, Beckett Rorie, Eleanor Rorie and one on the way; 5 great grandchildren, Hadley Rorie, Hadlyn Rorie, Halin Rorie, Brayden Rorie and Cade Rorie; half sister, Fredda McCune (Sam), nieces and nephew, Josh Lovelace, April Brackin and Madison Logan; his companion and best friend, Axel; other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Gordan Rorie; mother, Bell Rorie; brother, Scottie Evetts and his sisters, Linda Vanderford, Loris "City" Rorie and Gidget Rorie.
Tim Rorie’s life was a rich tapestry of passion, dedication, and kindness. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Tim Rorie.
