A celebration of life service for Tommy Smith, 80, of Corinth is scheduled for 11:30 AM Tuesday, September 16, 2026, at Magnolia Funeral Home – East with interment in Corinth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Bro. James Young will officiate the service.
Tommy passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in his hometown. Born on March 13, 1946, in Corinth, Tommy lived a life marked by service, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that made life meaningful.
Tommy proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. His dedication, courage, and sense of duty remained a defining part of who he was throughout his life. After returning home, he built a career rooted in skill and craftsmanship, owning and operating an auto body repair shop.
He was of the Baptist faith, carrying his beliefs with quiet strength and steady conviction.
Tommy found joy in the things that brought him peace and comfort — watching classic westerns, spending time at the beach, and being out on the water. Whether it was the rhythm of the waves or the calm of a quiet shoreline, those moments reflected the gentleness of his spirit.
Those left to honor Tommy’s memory include his daughters, Loria Crabb (Steve), Felicia Windham (Durand), Shawna Smith (Bradley), Shelia Bishop (Ricky); grandchildren, Anna Donahoo (Matt), Nicholas Crabb (Maddie), Cody Potts (Janna Kate), Albanie Boren (Luke), Allie Windham, Caden Butler, Christopher Bishop (Jamie) and Jonathan Bishop (Tessa); great grandchild, Charlie Jay Potts; Addison Reader, whom he loved like a daughter; other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Beatrice Parker Smith, and his brothers, Donald Lee Smith, Bobby Smith and Rickey Smith.
Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Thomas Smith.
