Services for Willa Dean Woodruff, 91 of Glen , MS are set for Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - East Chapel with interment in Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - East Chapel. Elder Steve Leggett and Bro. Blake McCaine will officiate the service with Steven Woodruff delivering family comments. Pallbearers will be Steven Woodruff, Joe Moore, Bro. Blake McCaine, Andrew Simmons, William Woodruff and Marlin Rinehart.
Willa Dean Woodruff, a beloved figure in her community and a cherished member of her family, passed away peacefully at her home in Glen, Mississippi, on January 29, 2026. Born on July 29, 1934, in Burnsville, Mississippi, Willa lived a life filled with passion, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones. Willa was a dedicated homemaker who thrived in creating a warm and inviting home for her family. She showed exceptional talent as a seamstress, owning and operating Willa's Custom Drapery for numerous years, where her impeccable craftsmanship brought beauty and elegance to countless homes. Her interests extended beyond sewing; she also found joy in gardening, cooking, and reading, often using her culinary skills to gather family and friends around her table for meals lovingly prepared. Willa's life was deeply intertwined with her faith and commitment to her husband, whom she supported as a preacher’s wife. She embraced this role with grace, offering encouragement and strength to her husband and the congregation. Her nurturing spirit was especially evident in her caring nature towards her grandchildren, whom she adored fiercely.
Willa Dean is survived by her sons, Jerome Woodruff (Barbara) and Eric Woodruff (Katherine), daughter, Melissa Rinehart (Keith); 6 grandchildren, Steven Woodruff (Jennifer), Stephanie Moore (Joe), Cassandra Felks (Brandon), Brittany McCaine (Bro. Blake), Anna Kathryn Simmons (Andrew) and William Woodruff; brother, Billy Bobo (Marit); caregivers, Barbara Hearn, Darlene Keltner and Teresa Lambert; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Elder Cecil Woodruff; father, Samuel J. Bobo; mother, Malinda J. Patterson Bobo; brothers, Rufus Bobo, Harold Bobo, James Bobo and Robert Bobo and her sisters, Helen Higginbottom, Evelyn Rinehart, Bettie Wood and Theola Bobo.
Willa Dean Woodruff leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and devotion that will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her remarkable life is a testament to the strength of family ties and the joy found in simple pleasures. May her memory continue to inspire those she touched throughout her journey on this earth.
