Zandra Rushing Wright

A Celebration of Life Service for Zandra Rushing McLeod Wright, 72 of Oxford, MS, will be Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow at Harmony Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Burnsville, MS.  Bro. Warren Jones will officiate the service.  Visitation will be Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East.  Mrs. Wright passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at her residence.  She was born March 25, 1950 in Tylertown, MS to Herman J. Rushing and Margie Lee Graves Rushing.  She retired as a paralegal with Wise Carter Law Firm in Jackson, MS and was of the Pentecostal/Baptist faith.  Zandra loved painting, decorating her house, finding unique types of linen and dressing up.  She loved collecting McCoy Pottery and Walker Anderson pottery and enjoyed legal research and her job.  Zandra is survived by her husband of 27 years, Creekmore B. Wright, Jr.; her son, Marvin Gene McLeod (Tasha); her daughter, Amy Renee Pertuit (Leif); her step son, Creekmore B. “Trey” Wright III (Misty); 4 grandchildren, Madison McLeod, Jaxon McLeod, Victoria Brown and Briley Wright;  her brothers, Herman Rushing III and Joel Warren Rushing; her sisters, Sherry Sanders Glazier and Jill Renee Rushing; numerous extended family and a host of friends anywhere she ever lived.  She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Rushing; her mother, Margie Graves Rushing; her brother, Randy Rushing and her sister, Debra Joyce Waller Blades.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Zandra Rushing McLeod Wright.
