Magnolia Funeral Home has been providing our community with caring, compassionate and personalized funeral services in Corinth and the surrounding area since 1993. We have immediate openings for the position of:

  • Wanted: Licensed Funeral Director (Embalmer is a plus) for Full- Time Position

    We are looking to add to our team of funeral professionals.


    We are the area’s leading funeral firm and are looking for a motivated,  licensed funeral director/embalmer with a servant’s heart to service our  client families with the highest regard.     Job Summary

    The person in this position will manage, prepare and direct funeral services,

    conduct and coordinate the delivery of remains to the funeral home, and 

    prepare remains for services and/or interment. The major objectives are to 

    provide the highest quality services and products and to satisfy the needs of

    all client families. Position includes on-call funeral director rotation hours 

    that includes some evenings, nights and weekends.


    Key Competencies

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Possess a valid Mississippi Funeral Director
    • and/or Service Licenses or  ability to reciprocate
    • Successful completion of the National Board Exam
    • Valid Mississippi Driver’s License
    • Able to lift 125lbs
  • Wanted: Part-Time Removal Associate

    Duties:


    • The Removal Associate is responsible for the care, removal and transport of deceased from hospital, nursing home or residence in accordance with all state, local and company policies and procedures
    • Part-time, on-call schedule based on availability between the hours of 5pm and 8am, seven days a week and weekends
    • Must live in close proximity (within 25 minutes of our location) for a quick response time.
    • Professional appearance and attire required.
    • Safely drives company owned professional vehicles to perform “first call” removals of deceased in accordance with local and state laws as well as company policies and procedures
    • Promote a safe work environment by being aware of and practicing universal precautions and adopting general principles of safe conduct.
    • Maintains adequate supply of Personal Protective Equipment in removal vehicles
    • The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Minimum Requirements:


    • High School or GED equivalent Experience
    • Valid Driver’s License with a Clean Driving Record
    • Above average communication skills
    • High level of compassion and integrity
    • Problem solving skills
    • Ability to multi task and set priorities
    • Professional and team player
    • Good written and verbal communication skills needed for interactions with grieving families and co-workers to generate accurate, timely responses to questions and requests in a calm, professional manner.
    • Communicates in a timely and effective manner with manager

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


    • Ability to work on-call weekends, nights and holidays rotation.
    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; push/pull up to 200 pounds.
    • Ability to drive in hazardous, heavy traffic, and weather conditions.
    • Basic phone skills required.
